One of my customers has an Experimental that needed good lighting as opposed to the old "standard" bulbs that you would find in a rag-wing piper that he was using. I would estimate 5x brighter lighting and, of course, far less amp draw. The customer is stoked and I will use these lights again on other customer aircraft moving forward considering the improvement, quality, customer service, and price-point compared to other lights on the market.
This is the second AeroLites purchase I have made. Very happy with the lights. Just installed yesterday, direct fit for old bulbs into housing without any issues. Super bright and a vast improvement over the old standard bulbs. Posted is a few photos and a video of the side by side difference.
Bought this to have a spare landing light but decided to compare it to my Whelen Parmetheus. It was such a huge difference that I replaced the Whelen and stuck Whelen in a box to have as the spare instead. The Aero-Lite is probably 4-5 times brighter with a spread that covered the whole width of my runway.

Just added this to my RV6 ... when I bought the plan it came with a duckworks lite landing .. horrible . .tried an easy LED bulb upgrade .. better .. but still not good enough .. I'd added a pair of the Aero lights to my Zenith a few years ago ... the feed back from the tower I fly out of .. dang... those are about the brightest lights I've seen on a small GA plane.. so I bought a conversion kit to swap to a par 36 and then another Ultra X .. couldnt be happier .. beyond bright .. recommend
